Experience the BILD

"Borrego" refers to the very rare Peninsular bighorn sheep. it also means lamb, and more particularly, a lamb led to slaughter, a simpleton - the kind of person who would try to make a go of it in this place. My Dad would appreciate the metaphor.

The land itself is occasionally dotted with evidence of this hubris. Bits of Model T. Old rusted pipes. An abandoned water tower.

But underneath that is what has always been true of this place.

The native species. Tiny wildflowers and miniature foxes. Ocotillo and a 900 year old iron wood forest, taproots deep in an underground river below the sand. And the hearths and pottery and hand tools and morteros from millennia of people that moved through this corridor and camped around its water—a sacred spring.

They knew how to live in a way that renewed possibility in this place.

Experience Living Design in place.

People come here to think, work, learn, make, gather, experiment—and simply to see things differently.
